DVD & VIDEO SUBTITLING
Subtitles provide the Deaf and Hard of Hearing with a written representation of the spoken word. They include sound effects and speaker identification. They are presented as close to verbatim as possible.

Subtitles are also used for Hearing Viewers as "foreign film subtitles." In this case, they usually include just the dialogue and are often edited. Subtitles can appear in upper and lowercase letters and in various fonts and colors. CaptionLink offers subtitling in a variety of languages.

VIDEO subtitles are burned directly onto the video and are visible at all times during viewing.

DVD subtitles can be turned on or off using the DVD main menu selection.

The Process:
You send us a VHS with burned in time code. Include a script if you have one or we can provide transcription services for you.

For VIDEO Subtitles, we will create a subtitle master using a character generator to record the subtitles onto your video.

For DVD Subtitles,
we will create a file specific to your DVD authoring system. This file will include the subtitle and time code information for your DVD author.
