NLE CAPTION FILES CaptionLink will create a caption file using our standard caption guidelines and then export it specific for your hardware requirements. The QuickTime or AVI movie file is then imported into your non-linear editing system and put on your time line exactly like other video material. Then a picture-in-picture effect or a crop effect is applied to the imported movie to mask off all but the closed caption image lines, and the NLE system is used to merge the imported movie with your video program material. This allows you to insert the closed captions into your video using your NLE system in-house. Using this approach you do not need an additional encoder to produce a closed captioned video.

The Process:
1) You post an MP4 or QT on our FTP site with burned in time code. Email a script if you have one or we can provide transcription services for you.

2) You will receive an NLE Caption Video File to drop into your time line and merge with your video program material.
