Realtime Captions

An experienced stenographer specifically trained for Realtime Captioning adds live captions directly to the television signal at the time of broadcast or transmission. 

How Realtime Captioning is done:

Realtime caption writers will access your live program through a satellite feed and/or a phone-line audio hookup and will provide captions that match the audio portion of your program word for word.  CaptionLink caption writers are highly trained using court reporting keyboards, typing up to 275 words a minute to accurately transcribe and transmit captions at the time of broadcast or transmission.  Our captioners perform at an accuracy rate of 98 percent or higher.  The caption information is sent via modem to encoders at your uplink facility.
